The Söğüt History and Nature Encounter Architectural Competition proposal was designed as an urban and landscape integration project, emphasizing the dialogue between topography, public space, and natural surroundings. The concept embraced the unique slope of the site, creating terraced structures, viewing platforms, and circulation routes that connect the urban fabric with the natural environment. Recreational elements, such as pedestrian and bicycle paths, open plazas, and rooftop terraces, were integrated to encourage social interaction and provide new perspectives of Söğüt’s cultural and historical setting .
The project sought to highlight the coexistence of built and natural systems by layering architectural, landscape, and poetic spatial qualities. Through accessible open structures and sequential experiential spaces, the design aimed to establish a landmark that both frames and enhances the visibility of Söğüt’s historical identity while offering a contemporary meeting place for the community
