The Maltepe Social Centers Architectural Competition proposal was designed as a multifunctional community hub incorporating a Neighborhood House, Alzheimer’s Day Center, and Childcare Facilities. The project aimed to strengthen social interaction across generations by integrating open courtyards, flexible activity spaces, and accessible public zones.
The design strategy emphasized urban integration and inclusivity: while green areas and transparent facades encouraged openness and connectivity, modular interior spaces provided adaptability for different user needs. With its layered approach—spanning health, education, and recreation—the proposal envisioned a vibrant community center that fosters well-being and active participation in everyday urban life.
