The scheme merges the ideas of a “Fener” (lantern/light) and a “Bahçe” (garden) into a cross-shaped ground pattern of stone and greenery, guiding visitors through quiet thresholds for contemplation, remembrance, and offering.

Low, accessible interventions—engraved memorial stones, flower bands, and seating edges—invite active participation without monumental excess. Day–night atmospheres emphasize the “lantern” motif with gentle illumination, while the layered ground geometry keeps the site democratic, walkable, and reflective of Lefter’s enduring legacy for Fenerbahçe and Turkish football.
